The SCCS Volunteer Appreciation dinner was a success. We had over 50 volunteers!

Thanks to Cindy for providing the great food and allowing us to hold the dinner at the Pescadero Country Store, thanks to Lucas for playing the guitar, thanks to Trevor for barbecuing, thanks to the staff who helped organize the dinner, and thanks to the volunteers for attending! As we mentioned in our previous post, we cannot live without our volunteers.

We really can’t express how much we appreciate our volunteers. They are a large part of what makes our organization so successful, and we want to thank them for all their hard work. We have volunteers who have been with our organization for many years, and some who have only started volunteering. We have high-school teens who have already completed more than their required 100 hours of community service, and yet continue to volunteer with SCCS. We have busy men and women who make time to contribute to our youth programs, and we even have SCCS staff members who volunteer in other areas of the organization. Each and every one of our volunteers are indispensable. Thank you, from the bottom of our hearts!

The South Coast Children’s Services Volunteer Appreciation Dinner is this Friday, September 16th! It’ll be at the Pescadero Country Store, from 6:00 to 7:30 PM. If you are an SCCS volunteer and have received an invitation to our dinner, we hope to see you there! It should be a lot of fun, and we’ll have delicious food.

We’re brand new to the concept of blogging (is that a word?), but we wanted to keep everyone up-to-date on the latest SCCS news. Please be patient, both as we learn to blog, and as we update our website.

Sometime in the very near future, we will be training one of our youth staff in updating the website. This way, we will be sure that we have the latest information on here.

The purpose of this blog will be to post SCCS events, sale days at the thrift shop, new youth programs, and any relevant SCCS information or news. Please let us know if there is something else you would like to see on our blog.
